تُواجه مدينة بنت جبيل منذ 48 ساعة، مع اشتداد خلال الـ24 ساعة الماضية، تصعيداً عسكرياً هو الأعنف منذ بدء الحربين، حيث استباحت قذائف المدفعية الثقيلة مختلف أحياء المدينة وأزقتها بالتزامن مع غارات جوية مكثفة ونشاط ملحوظ لمروحيات “الأباتشي” التي نفذت رمايات صاروخية مباشرة باتجاه الأهداف المدنية.
وأفاد مندوب موقع بنت جبيل أن المدينة تعيش أجواءً تحاكي في ضراوتها وقائع حرب تموز 2006، حيث تسبب اتساع رقعة القصف وتركيز الغارات في إعاقة حركة فرق الإسعاف والدفاع المدني، وخصوصاً في فترات الليل وفترات القصف العنيف، وباتت تواجه صعوبات بالغة في الوصول إلى أماكن الاستهداف أو تحديد مواقع الغارات بشكل سريع في بعض الأحيان.
هذا التحول الدراماتيكي في سير العمليات الميدانية يضع المدينة أمام مشهد مغاير، وسط استمرار دوي الانفجارات وتصاعد سحب الدخان التي غطت سماء المدينة، ومن المبكر الحديث عن أي تقدم إسرائيلي تجاه المدينة من جميع الاتجاهات، ولم يحصل ذلك حتى الساعة كما أشارت قنوات إعلامية.

The city of Bint Jbeil has been facing, for the past 48 hours, with a sharp escalation over the last 24 hours, the most intense military escalation since the start of the wars. Heavy artillery shells have struck various neighborhoods and alleys of the city, alongside intensive airstrikes and notable activity by Apache helicopters that carried out direct missile strikes on civilian targets.
A correspondent for BintJbeil.org reported that the city is experiencing conditions similar in intensity to the events of the July 2006 war, as the widening scope of shelling and concentration of strikes have hindered the movement of ambulance and civil defense teams, particularly during nighttime and periods of heavy bombardment. These teams are facing major difficulties in reaching targeted locations or quickly identifying strike sites at times.
This dramatic shift in field operations places the city in a different scenario, amid the continued sound of explosions and rising plumes of smoke covering the sky. It is still too early to speak of any Israeli advance toward the city from any direction, and no such advance has occurred so far despite reports by some media outlets.
